It’s that time of year again, Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week! We are proud to team up with the National AfterSchool Association (NAA) to celebrate the professionals at the heart of after-school programs nationwide.

We truly believe that after-school professionals have a profound impact on the lives of young people, and we invite everyone to join us this week in expressing gratitude towards the dedicated individuals who play such a vital role in children’s lives.

Here are some simple yet impactful ways to show your appreciation for the after-school professionals in your community. Let them know just how much their time and effort mean to you and your family. If you’re curious about what Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week is all about, delve into this blog for more detailed insight.

How Can I Show an After-school Professional that I Care?

  • Give a handwritten card from you and your child to the after-school professional in your life.
  • Declare on social media: I appreciate the After-school Professionals who make a difference in the lives of young people: #heartofafterschool
  • Email an after-school professional’s supervisor describing why that person is appreciated.
  • Donate simple supplies like paper, crayons, or glue to your local after-school programs. Even everyday household items like egg cartons can help educators create fun and engaging student learning experiences.
  • Help your local programs in their fundraising efforts by sending a letter to your senator or congressman expressing your support of after-school programs in your community or donating time and resources to local programs
