New APR Reports Allow Better Summary Information and Overrides

TransACT's AfterSchool21 (AS21) is a software service that supports after-school programs at the state and local level in submitting compliant data for their annual performance report, 21APR.

AfterSchool21 (AS21) users can view summary information on APR data and quickly see calculations from new categories with new reporting tools.

The AS21 February software development release helps Out-of-School-Time (OST) programs collect their data and generate calculations needed to comply with new government reporting mandates taking effect in 2022.

Overrides to APR Data

If users want to correct the APR data that AS21 calculates, they can manually override the values in a field. When making an override, a user still must provide an overriding reason for the data change at the bottom of the page.

Changes also reflect on the Annual Performance Report. Administrators can view the original value with strikethrough text and the override value in the participation section. Who did the override and the reason for the change are also viewable.

The override reporting values also appear on the APR Review Report, allowing administrative users to see summary information on calculation and override values.

To view this report in the AS21:

  • Go to Reports
  • Then the CLC APR BY Reporting Period category of reports
  • Run the APR Review Report
  • Select the APR section and view the report

Automated Data Processing

OST programs that use the integration between AS21 and the district Student Information System (SIS) can now view their data processing status easier and faster.

In the settings section, a new card called SSI Data Share is visible under the program setting. AS21 users can manage their connection from the SIS Data Share screen and enable and disable their data synch. Administrators can see the status of the nightly synchs with the SIS and any issues with importing data, such as if data fails to import due to incomplete information.

SIS roster data integration through the partnership between TransACT and the Global Grid for Learning (GG4L) is available to those with an active subscription to AS21 or ParentNotices.

About AfterSchool21

AfterSchool21 is used by state departments of education and OST programs across the country to support clean, accurate data for their annual performance reports, year-over-year reporting for their donors and grants, and fee management or their parent-pay features.

AS21 supports in-person, hybrid, and virtual OST programs with the ability to collect and submit evidence of participation. Schedule a demonstration to see why AfterSchool21 is the best choice for growing after-school programs.
