Data For APR Reports Now Easier To Read And Analyze

TransACT's AfterSchool21 (AS21) is a software service that supports after-school programs at the state and local levels in submitting compliant data for their annual performance report, 21APR.

The AS21 March software development release changes how Annual Performance Report (APR) data is displayed, giving AS21 users an easier way to prepare data for analysis and reporting.

Among the many changes to reporting is an alert when required information is missing and percentage values shown on various pie charts and bar charts in the administration dashboard. Other changes to reporting include:

  • A red sliver on the pie chart in the administration dashboard indicates data is missing, as does a message on both the pie and bar charts that appears in red capital letters
  • If there is no missing data, that message does not appear or will disappear after entering the missing data
  • Percentage values show on charts so a user can hover over a portion of a particular chart and see a percentage count for each category being measured
  • Charts now show hours attending, as well as days attending a program – this is a renewed focus on the APR report

Viewing Data on Both Charts and Detail Reports Now Easier

Program administrators are moving fast, and information needs to be updated constantly. Before this release, an administrator could run their APR report for early analysis. If they looked at their detailed reports, there was a disconnect between that data and the dashboard charts. Now when a user creates the APR, all the reporting counts match. AS21 has a process where charts automatically update overnight with information entered during the day.
