AS21 Survey Functionality Improving for Teachers

Teachers participating in teacher surveys who are reporting on their students' academic progress can filter and view a list of completed surveys.

TransACT’s AfterSchool21 (AS21) supports programs funded by 21st Century Community Learning Center (21CCLC) grants with 21APR data collection. As part of our February 2023 software development release, the updated survey distribution process helps programs more efficiently meet federal grant requirements related to the Annual Performance Review (APR).

APR questions relate to how students progress from the beginning to the end of the year in specific performance indicators associated with the 21CCLC program. To help facilitate the collection of this data, AS21 sends teachers a survey via email. Recent improvements made to filters mean that teachers now have a more accurate view of which students need a survey.

Survey Now Provides a Wider Range of Data

Additional survey configuration options enable state or program administrators to define the grade levels they want to receive the survey.

If a program strives to comply with the annual performance report, AS21 can send surveys to all students within grades 1-5 that participated in the program so that you can satisfy federal reporting requirements.

However, AS21 can also accommodate a wider range of survey responses, such as if a state or program administrator wants to survey all students in kindergarten through grade 12 for a state evaluation.

Programs tend to base their grant applications on the performance data collected through these surveys, so having the actual participation and activity data already set up in the AS21 system will save administrative time and enable programs to justify that they would benefit from expanding their activities.
