Webinar: Community Engagement Strategies that Grow Your Program

In the darkest months of the pandemic, many Out-of-School-Time (OST) programs were skeptical they could reopen again.

According to a survey from the AfterSchool Alliance, programs that rely solely on parent fees especially felt the sting of companies sending their employees home and attendance restrictions. Programs collecting fees were more likely to close in 2020 than other programs and 3.5 times less likely to offer virtual programming.

Despite the challenges, Out of School programs are stepping up and finding ways to provide critical support in their communities.

"Engaging Community Partners to Grow Your OST Program" is hosted by Ben Hinkle-Wszalzek and Phillip Smith of AfterSchool21. The webinar was originally broadcast on September 3rd, 2020. Ben and Phillip will provide this guidance in person during the Beyond School Hours conference on February 23-26 in Orlando.
